A 45+ year-old traditional weaving loom transformed into an acoustic and electronic instrument. Weaving, woven piezos, touch-sensitive areas and live processing come together in an improvisational performance.
WEAVING ATELIER — EUPEN

Saba Arat, Karlo Sono & Tarxun
Developed specifically for the weaving atelier at Kunst & Bühne in Eupen, a town with a long history of textile production. Six working looms throughout the atelier were individually microphoned, bringing their mechanical and acoustic sounds into the performance alongside two of my conductive textiles.
The trio performed the atelier itself as an instrument, combining the sounds of its looms with touch-controlled textiles, live processing and electronic improvisation.
NOOR — A BRAIN OPERA

Noor – A Brain Opera is an immersive, interactive audiovisual work by Ellen Pearlman exploring consciousness, surveillance and access to neurobiological data. Wearing an EEG headset inside a 360 degree environment, my live brainwave activity and emotional states became inputs for the work, triggering and influencing video, sound and libretto while my brainwaves were simultaneously displayed to the audience.
